Just a friendly reminder that Banned Books Week started yesterday. Stick it to The Man by reading something foul and offensive. I recommend Crooked Little Vein by Warren Ellis. It hasn’t been banned yet as far as I know, but give it time. Give it time.

Am I too saturated in popular culture, or does it seem every day brings us closer to a science fiction world? Some days, I wonder just how far we are from a Dark Angel/Jeremiah/FreakAngels Post apocalyptic world. I mean, have you even read the news lately? From The Charlotte Observer today:
Hundreds of cars lined streets [...]

Neener neener! Put that on your library cart and shelve it, Randy "I think I’m the boss of you" Jackson of Nampa, Idaho. Don’t like getting bullied, do you? Don’t like other people making decisions for you, do you? Kinda sucks, doesn’t it? Serves you right. Suck it.

Yeah, it’s that time of year again. Time for me to be an obnoxious librarian by reminding everyone of Banned Books Week, September 27–October 4, 2008. In preparation, I present this article from the ALA. Here’s a snippet, a list of books that were banned last year:
“And Tango Makes Three,” by Justin Richardson/Peter Parnell Reasons: [...]

Did you know that the new Nine Inch Nails album is available for free? No really, and it’s all legal and everything. Go here and download it. I can’t tell you if it’s good or bad, since I just downloaded it today and need to give it a thorough listening to, but [...]

Hey gang. I know it’s been awhile, but I’m up to my eyeballs in busy. I’m closing on my house in a few weeks, so yay for me! Work is kicking my hineyparts, however. Boo. Anyway, decided to check in. I’ve been crabby as heck lately, but something just happened that made me feel much [...]
